Did you miss out on studying abroad while you were an FIT student, or if you did, ever wish you could go back to that time? If so, here's your chance to travel to Japan with fellow alumni! In March 2027, FIT alumni will cross the globe to visit Tokyo, Tamano, and Kyoto, experiencing the best of fashion from Ginza Fashion District to the birthplace of Japanese denim, with plenty of culture, history, and cuisine along the way. While in Tamano, travelers will have a chance to relax at a natural Japanese hot spring and take the ferry to Naoshima Art Island, followed by visiting a working indigo farm with a hands-on indigo dye workshop.

The Fushimi Inari Optional Tour offers an unforgettable visit to Kyoto’s iconic Fushimi Inari Taisha, famous for its thousands of vibrant vermilion torii gates that wind through the wooded slopes of Mount Inari. Participants will stroll along the picturesque pathways, learn about the shrine’s significance in Shinto tradition as a place dedicated to the deity of rice and prosperity, and take in sweeping views of Kyoto from the hillside trails.
