An extended visit to London and a day trip to Oxford - A combination of English cities like no other! LONDON - Perhaps the most well-known city in the world and where Dr. Sigmund Freud, the founder of Psychoanalysis and most well-known psychologist on all time, spent the final 15 months of his life. Students will see his home (that includes the famous Psychoanalytic couch) as well as his final resting place. In London, we will see Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, Big Ben, the Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, and St. Paul's Cathedral, we will tour the Freud Museum, the Bethlem Museum of the Mind at the Royal Hospital, Westminster Abbey, The British Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, and The National Gallery, we will take a 30-minute flight on the London Eye, and we will attend a show in the West End Theatre District. Oxford - The home to the University of Oxford (comprised of 36 colleges and three societies) is the oldest university in the English-speaking world and is perhaps, the quintessential college community of Europe and the academic intellectual capital of the world. The University's listing of Famous Oxonians is difficult to fathom and includes 28 British Prime Ministers, at least 30 international leaders, 55 Nobel Prize winners, and 120 Olympic medal winners. In fact, this listing is so extensive it is divided by centuries dating back to the 1100s.
